Nebulizer

A nebulizer is a medical device that turns liquid medication into a mist that can be easily inhaled. Nebulizers are commonly used for the treatment of asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD, and other respiratory diseases or disorders.

Nebulizers work by using compressed air or ultrasonic vibrations to break up liquid medication into tiny droplets. The droplets are then dispensed into a mouthpiece or mask, where they can be inhaled directly into the lungs. This allows the medication to be delivered directly to the site of action, where it can be most effective.

Nebulizers come in a variety of different types and sizes, including:

• Jet nebulizers: Jet nebulizers are the most common type of nebulizer. They use compressed air to break up liquid medication into tiny droplets.
• Mesh nebulizers: Mesh nebulizers use a vibrating mesh to break up liquid medication into tiny droplets. They are typically smaller and more portable than jet nebulizers.
• Ultrasonic nebulizers: Ultrasonic nebulizers use high-frequency sound vibrations to break up liquid medication into tiny droplets. They are typically the quietest type of nebulizer, but they can be more expensive than other types of nebulizers.
